Bigger than expected

Bottom line up front, after researching other shed prices and talking to a lot of people locally, this is definitely the best value for your money. No where compares to how much square footage you get for the price, but you will have to put in a little work. Pros: Like I said, the value for this shed is huge. The customer service was great. Terry answered all my questions and even gave me a small discount code. The shed materials were quality, the instructions were good, and it turned out great! They also provided more than enough hardware for completion. Cons: Not really a con, but when ordering a shed that’s 16’ tall in the center, just be aware that you are not going to be able to build something that large and lift it into place by yourself. It’s definitely more of a barn build than a shed at this scale. The materials were quality, but we were missing 6 2x4 studs. It was easy enough to solve with lumber I had on hand so I never even contacted them about it. Some of the smart side panels had screw holes in them like they had been installing before but we’re otherwise in great condition with no damage. The header design for the double doors is two 2x4”s sandwiched together broad side down, with no cripple stud under them. It’s on the gable wall so not technically a load bearing wall but over a 60” door opening this will sag over time so I changed that. Also, having two rafter ties sitting just above the wall plate didn’t work for the ceiling height that I need, so I replaced the two rafter ties with four collar ties slightly higher on the trusses but below the first roof ridge. I also peaked the front of the roof over the door, added a cupola and built a lean to off one side but obviously provided the materials for that myself, but it looks great. I will definitely recommend little cottage co to anyone looking for a shed and will use them again in the future.
